The gifts of the Spirit are countless and are shared for the good of all. It is for this reason that the encounter between people of different backgrounds, which takes place so naturally here in Menorca, becomes a true source of mutual enrichment. Tourists and the island’s residents alike give thanks to God for these meetings, which allow us to share many experiences on a spiritual level.
As a Bishop, I am personally moved when I witness the reverence with which you enter our churches, the devotion you bring to our liturgical celebrations, and the generosity you show toward those most in need. It is also a great joy to see that you feel at home among us, welcomed and integrated, as though you were in your own parish and home community.
Between many of you and the people of Menorca, bonds of genuine friendship take root and endure across the years, above all with those who, having fallen in love with this island, have made it their second home or chosen it as the place to spend their retirement.
